Pack 97 Annual Picnic and Crossover

Join us at Hornet's Nest Park on Saturday, May 23rd as we celebrate your scouts crossing over into their next rank. This year we will begin with the ceremony and the picnic will follow. Food will be served around 12:15pm-12:30pm. The pack is providing the main course of hot dogs and hamburgers, and requests that families bring a folding chair and the following items according to your scout's current rank:

Ø Tigers please bring drinks (The pack will have the drink coolers with water.)

Ø Wolves please bring a hot side dish/hot vegetable (such as chili, baked beans, macaroni and cheese). Some electricity is available for warmers. Also consider a serving utensil.

Ø Bears please bring a cold side dish/salad/vegetable. Please bring a cooler or method to keep it chilled if necessary. Please note: it may be very warm on the day of the picnic and we want to ensure that the cold side dishes are kept on ice until it is ready to be served. Also consider a serving utensil.

Ø Webelos please bring a dessert.

Scouts must wear their Class A uniforms for the cross-over ceremony, but consider wearing their pack T-shirt for the picnic & games after the ceremony.

 


 
SuperTrip - 2015

For Pack 97's annual SuperTrip we will be sleeping with the lions, tigers and bears, oh my! The program at the zoo begins Saturday evening, May 30th and we'll spend the night in the zoo's indoor auditorium. Returning home Sunday, May 31st.

We will enjoy exclusive access to the zoo Saturday night. Please arrive fed Saturday evening although there will be light snacks that night and a continental breakfast Sunday morning.

Cost is $40 per person. Sunday morning breakfast will be provided.

We will be entering the zoo at 7:00pm. Please plan to arrive no later than 6:30pm so that we can get everyone ready to head inside. We are working on optional activities earlier in the day Saturday, but feel free to make your own arrangements. We will post details on the optional activities as they become available. After the overnight, we will pack up all belongings and return them to our cars but then we have free admission to the zoo on Sunday.

Please note that no children under 6 years old will be allowed to participate in the overnight adventure.

Calling all rising Webelos I’s and II’s.

Webelos Adventure Camp is designed to help in transitioning your boys from Cub Scouts to Boy Scouts. Come and enjoy the adventure of a lifetime, while starting your “Arrow of Light” journey or finishing it if you are a rising Webelos II. This year's program will be unique in that it will introduce scouts and leaders alike to the new Cub Scout advancement program. And of course there will will be many scout favorites such as fishing, gaga ball and the climbing tower.

We will begin collecting the registration information at den meetings.

Registration is now closed.

  1. A completed Annual BSA Health and Medical Record - Parts A and B
  2. A photo copy of the front and back of your Medical Identification Card
  3. A payment of $150 per scout Click to register
  4. T-shirt size. Note that all sizes are ADULT.

*** There are no individual registration forms. We will submit one form for the entire pack.

 


 
SCOUTStrong

 

Pack 97 actively participates in the SCOUTStrong PALA (Presidential Active Lifestyle Award) Challenge. This challenge is designed to motivate participants to be physically active on a regular basis by allowing them to participate in activities they enjoy, as well as improving their eating habits. Earning a PALA is definitely doable by anyone at any fitness level.
