BSA Cub Scout Pack 97 is a Unit of the Mecklenburg County Council of the Boy Scouts of America, founded in 1910 by William D. Boyce.   The Council is comprised of multiple districts; Pack 97 is a member of the northern district, called the Hornets Nest District.

Pack 97 was chartered in February 2000 with only 1 den and about 5 boys.  Since then, we have steadily grown to 10+ dens and over 100 boys.  At the end of their Cub Scouting carreer, Pack 97's Webelos Scouts continue their Scouting Journey, crossing-over as Boy Scouts to BSA Boy Scout Troop 97.

Our Charter Organziation is Saint Mark Roman Catholic Church.  Most of Pack 97's membership comes from St. Mark Catholic Church, School and Home School communities.  However, Pack 97's Membership consists of Scouts from many Faiths.  Scouts of any Faith are welcome to join Pack 97 and begin their journey in a World-wide Scout Movement founded by Robert Badden-Powell in 1907, over 100 years ago, on Brownsea Island in England.
